This week's letter from Mrs Mayers...

Dear Parents and Carers

It has been a lovely sunny end to the week! I hope you have all enjoyed some of the sunshine we have been having.

I would like to say 'well done' to Yr6, who have been exceptional in their approach to the KS2 SATs this week. We know our children are fantastic and they have all done their very best this week so we are very proud of them. I hope that Yr6 have all enjoyed coming into school early for breakfast with their friends this week and that it will be a lasting memory for them.

Thank you to Miss Richards and School Council, who have been selling ice lollies in the school playground. The money raised from this will go towards our School Fund, which helps to reduce the costs of trips and visits for our children. It is great to see our School Council taking an active role in this fundraising initiative!

Please make a note of some of the key dates included below and have a lovely weekend.

Kind regards

Hayley Mayers (Headteacher)

School Information / Reminders

Arbor logoArbor Parent App / Portal

58% of our families have logged into the Arbor Parent App / Portal. Thank you to everyone who has already logged in.

Please can all parents/carers make time to download the app and login. You will have received an email entitled 'Welcome to Arbor'. To ensure you continue to receive messages from school.

We will be streamlining communications & payments - all on the Arbor Parent App:

  • Text messages are expensive to send, therefore we will be moving to in-app messages (which are free to send). Please ensure you have notifications switched on. This will also keep messages in one place.
  • Payments - you can make payments online for school trips & music lessons. Nursery parents & carers can pay for lunches & additional hours (if applicable).

If you have an outstanding balance, you will be able to see this when you log into the app - if you think the amount is incorrect, please contact the office.

From scrubbing clothes to strict school lessons, we experienced life as Victorian children chalkboards, dunce caps and all! A fascinating day split between domestic chores and classroom rules.
