Pupils are very happy and kept safe at this school.....Leaders aim for excellence, and this can be seen in many aspects of school life, particularly in the way pupils’ personal development and behaviour are supported.

Welcome

St. William of York is a small school which prides itself on providing a safe, nurturing and inclusive community for our pupils, parents and staff.

You do not have to be a Catholic to attend our school, and we welcome families of all faiths, or no faith.

Parents choose our school for their children because they know that their child will be known by their name and the Leadership Team and teachers work together with parents to ensure that all of our children are recognised for their unique gifts and talents. We want your child's time at school to be a positive and happy experience for the whole family.

The school has a stable and committed staff team. Several of our staff have been pupils, or parents, at SWOY. This means that there is a consistent approach to everything that we do!

We are a one form entry Catholic Voluntary Aided Primary School, which opened in 1970. This means that there are no more than 30 children in each year group. Leaders, Governors and parents have consciously made the decision over time to remain a small school as we believe that this gives your child the very best start to their education!

It is situated next door to the parish church of St. William of York on Brockley Park, just off Brockley Rise and behind the Adult Education Centre.

St. William of York Primary School serves to educate the children of the Catholic community in Forest Hill, and ALL children within the locality. The partnership between the home and the school strengthens and enriches each family's life experience, is integral to all that we do in school. Please do come and visit us so that you can see our wonderful school, meet our staff and our fantastic children! Make an appointment through the school office: 0208 690 2842.
