This week's letter from Mrs Mayers...

Dear Parents and Carers

Caterlink visited Yr5 & Yr6 this week to deliver another fantastic food workshop! The children made a Greek-styled Pastry Tart and had a great time tasting some of the ingredients.

November has been a very busy month with lots of trips and visits booked in for our children. It has been so fantastic to hear about their experiences and I know some classes are very excited about their upcoming trips next week. We do ask for parents to contribute to the cost of trips via ParentPay, however, if you are unable to make a contribution, please do speak to Mrs Mayers or Ms Thorn in confidence.

I would like to draw your attention to the calendar on our school website, which has lots of information about upcoming dates and events. A couple of key dates for your diary are:

  • EYFS & KS1 Christmas Play: Tues 10th Dec 2024 at 10am or 2pm
  • KS2 Christmas Carol Concert: Tues 17th Dec 2024 at 5.30pm.

Kind regards

Hayley Mayers (Headteacher)

The design should be:

  • A5 in size
  • Feature a nativity scene – Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus etc
  • Be fairly simple – designs may be shrunk down so we don’t want to lose too many of the lovely details
  • Your design can be painted, drawn, collaged or any other medium you choose!

Entries must be in by Friday 29th December to your class teachers. Please write your name and year group on the back.

Year 3 learned all about the incredible Mary Seacole and created artistic portraits to celebrate her legacy! Using wax crayons, they captured her strength and resilience while thinking of adjectives that best describe her, like inspiring, compassionate, and tenacious. What an empowering way to honor such a remarkable woman! #MarySeacole #Year3 #Inspiration #Compassion #Tenacity #ArtInspiration
