This week's letter from Mrs Mayers...

Dear Parents and Carers

It has felt like a mini-science week in school this week with lots of science trips and visits. Yr5 have visited the Science Museum and had a fantastic time learning about the solar system. Yr3 have been to the Natural History Museum to learn about rocks and fossils. And Yr4 were visited by the STEM Ambassadors from Bonus Pastor, who performed a range of exciting experiments for the class. It has been fantastic to see our children inspired and excited about their science lessons.

Next Friday 6th December, we will have our Advent Breakfast and would like to invite you to have breakfast at school from 8am. All money raised will be donated to St Christopher's. SWOYSA are busy preparing for the Christmas Fair, which will be on Sunday 8th December at 12.30pm. Please volunteer to help if you can. It is always a great event and will hopefully raise funds for our school.

This weekend, on Sunday 1st December at 9.30am, we will have Family Mass in the church. The singing will be led by Yr3 and Yr4. Please do join us if you can!

Kind regards

Hayley Mayers (Headteacher)

Staffing Update

It is with mixed emotions that we announce that Miss Semino, our Teaching Assistant in Yr5, will be leaving us this week. We are delighted that she has secured a role in the NHS as a Speech and Language Therapy Assistant as this something she is passionate about. We are grateful for all of her hard work over the last two years and wish her every success in her new venture. Miss Murphy will move into Yr5 next week to support Mrs Hazelton and Miss Cole will work across Yr2 (Mon-Tues) and Yr4 (Wed-Thurs).
