This week's letter from Mrs Mayers...
|
|
Dear Parents and Carers
It's been a hot one! If the warm weather continues, please remember to apply suncream in the morning and send your child to school with a hat and water bottle to help them stay cool and safe in the sun.
We've had a real cricket buzz in school this week! On Tuesday, we were thrilled to partner with Kent County Cricket to offer pupils a special cricket coaching session. Then today, our brilliant Year 4 class took part in a Cricket Festival at Hilly Fields, organised by Platform Cricket. We're so proud to say that Year 4 did absolutely fantastically and both SWOY teams got through to the Quarter Finals! Well done Year 4!
A big thank you to Bernie for all her hard work running our Young Savers Club with the Credit Union. Bernie will be stepping down from her role, so if any parents or carers are interested in taking this on, please speak to Mrs Mayers or Mrs Roper.
I hope you all have a lovely weekend in the sunshine!
Kind regards
Hayley Mayers (Headteacher)

We will be monitoring the weather in the run-up to ensure it is not too hot.

We will need parent helpers - please use this form to let us know if you can help walk children to (& back from) Catford Cyphers.

Do you have any sheets that you could donate to school?

Yr6 are busy preparing for their Leavers' Play and they are beginning to think about costumes.
We are very fortunate that Mrs Tossell kindly helps to make the costumes for Yr6 every year - she is very talented!
This year, we are in need of some old sheets that can be sewn to make some costumes. If you have any plain cotton sheets that you could donate to Yr6, it would be greatly appreciated.

Arbor Parent App / Portal
Thank you to everyone who has already logged in.
Please can all parents/carers make time to download the app and login. You will have received an email entitled 'Welcome to Arbor'. To ensure you continue to receive messages from school.
We will be streamlining communications & payments - all on the Arbor Parent App:
- Text messages are expensive to send, therefore we will be moving to in-app messages (which are free to send). Please ensure you have notifications switched on. This will also keep messages in one place.
- Payments - you can make payments online for school trips (& in future for music lessons). Nursery parents & carers can pay for lunches & additional hours (if applicable).
If you have an outstanding balance, you will be able to see this when you log into the app - if you think the amount is incorrect, please contact the office.
Information check - all students
Please take time to check if your child's information is correct. Within the app - click on the child's name, scroll to the bottom and click on the three lines (left-side) and click 'profile'. Please fill in any blanks and update if necessary.
