This week's letter from Mrs Mayers...

Dear Parents and Carers

What a vibrant, action-packed week we have had at school! From exciting class trips for Year 3 and Year 5, to celebrating the UN Day of Play, and seeing the school burst with colour as we dressed up to mark the start of the World Cup, the energy has been fantastic. A huge thank you to everyone for your incredibly generous donations of loose parts, which are already making our playtimes so much more creative and fun.

We are so excited to welcome you all to our International Day celebrations this Sunday, 14th June. We will begin together with Mass at 10:30am, and then the celebrations will continue in the school hall and playground as we gather to share delicious foods from around the world. If you kindly bringing a dish to share, please bring it straight into the school. You must include a clear list of ingredients with your dish, which will allow us to easily highlight any allergens, so that we can keep all of our community safe.

The celebrations do not stop this weekend, as next Friday we will be holding our wonderful annual school picnic to celebrate the Feast Day of St William of York. Thank you for your continued support in making our school community so special. Have a wonderful weekend, and we look forward to seeing many of you on Sunday!

Warm regards

Hayley Mayers (Headteacher)

Year 3 had a fantastic time exploring the National Poetry Library on Tuesday. The children enjoyed discovering a wide range of poems, taking part in creative activities, and finding inspiration for their own writing. #SWOY #Stwilliamofyork #Catholicprimaryschool #Selondon #Lewisham #Foresthill #SE23 #education
