This week's letter from Mrs Mayers...

Dear Parents and Carers

What a wonderful week of learning we have had! The children have been thoroughly engaged in their topics, and it was a real joy to hear them speak so confidently about their work during our fortnightly sharing assembly. Their enthusiasm and pride in what they are learning is truly inspiring.

Excitement is also building across the school as our playground transformation nears completion. While a few small finishing touches are being made, we are thrilled to announce that our beautiful new playground will officially open next week! We cannot wait to see the children exploring the sensory paths, enjoying peaceful reflection time by the pond, cooking up a storm in the expansive mud kitchens, and splashing away in the water zone. There will also be plenty of opportunities for planting and digging in our new planters, climbing on the new frames, and getting creative on our drawing and writing boards.

A huge thank you to SWOYSA for their incredibly generous donation of £2,000 towards this project. We have many more exciting plans for the year ahead and look forward to sharing these new developments with you as they take shape.

Finally, a reminder that our Family Mass, led by Year 3 and Year 4, takes place this weekend. Please join us in the church at 9:30 am on Sunday 4th October. We look forward to seeing many of you there to celebrate together.

Warm regards

Hayley Mayers (Headteacher)

Friday Club with Mrs Mayers

This week's Friday Club was... Ben, Uria, Andrei, Kahtaliya and Niamh

Well done to all of you! You have been recognised for being ACE and for consistently going 'over and above'

Our Makaton Sign of the Week for next week is...

Our Rights Respecting School Article of the Week is...

Article 2 - No discrimination

We have been thinking about our uniqueness and the importance of being proud of who we are and respecting others too.

In Assembly we have been learning about...

We have been thinking about how our actions speak louder than words. We reflected on the story of two brothers asked to do some work for their father.

The first made a promise to do the work, but did not fulfil it, and the second, told his father he would not do it, but after reflection did in fact carry out the work.

We discussed "which of the two did the will of his father?" - Matthew 21:31

Question of the Week...

Which is the odd one out: piano, tambourine or recorder? Why?
