School Journey - Shropshire 2025

🏰 Year 6 School Journey to Shropshire – A Week to Remember! 🍫🦁
Our Year 6 children have returned from a truly memorable school journey to Shropshire, packed with exciting experiences, new learning, and plenty of fun!
The week began with a sweet start at Cadbury World, where we discovered the story behind everyone’s favourite treat — and, of course, sampled plenty of delicious chocolate along the way! The trip continued with a fantastic visit to Chester Zoo, where we explored the incredible variety of animals and took part in a hands-on classification workshop, deepening our understanding of science and the natural world.
One of the most unique parts of the week was our visit to Blists Hill Victorian Town, where children stepped back in time to experience life as it was over a hundred years ago. From traditional shops to old-fashioned schoolrooms, it was an immersive, eye-opening experience that brought history to life.
On our final day, we rounded off the trip with an awe-inspiring visit to Warwick Castle. We were treated to the Falconry Quest bird show, which left everyone amazed, and watched the mighty trebuchet being fired — a dramatic end to a fantastic week!
The children were enthusiastic, engaged, and an absolute credit to our school throughout the journey. We’re so proud of them and the way they embraced every opportunity.
You can view a gallery of our adventures on the school website here. What a brilliant way to make lasting memories before the end of Year 6!
Thank you to our amazing staff team, Ms Webster, Mr Morris, Miss Murphy, Miss Barber and Mr Kane, for giving up their time to take the children.
