After a rigorous interview process, Governors have appointed Mrs Hayley Mayers to be the new Headteacher of St William of York Catholic Primary School for September 2024.
Mrs Lynch has shared some exciting news - she has decided to retire from her role as Headteacher at SWOY in July 2024. Governors will begin the recruitment process for a new headteacher and will keep you updated over the next few months. You can read her letter to parents below:
Our fundraising for St Christopher’s today was great fun, starting with Advent breakfast and then onto our Reindeer Dash up at Blythe Hill Fields. We are thankful to the parents and carers who came along to support and help.
During the summer holidays, Miss Langston & Mr Mayers got married. They first met here at SWOY 10 years ago! We wish them every happiness in the future!
Migrants' Mass at St William of York
This information is intended to provide some clarity for parents about what to expect for Remote Learning, if local or national restrictions require children to stay at home, and school is only open for the children of Critical Workers and Vulnerable children.
All around Forest Hill, Honor Oak and Crofton Park, SWOY scarecrows were out enjoying the sunshine and the rain during October half term! You would even have found one in Lovele Nails, Donde and the Sans Store on Brockley Rise!
You will find lots of cheeky St William of York pupil scarecrows all around Forest Hill, Honor Oak, Crofton Park and Catford during half term.
Lewisham Primary Headteachers agreed that we must stand up, and speak out, in response to the unlawful killing of George Floyd in Minnesota, USA.
Children at SWOY prepared this film to be shared with the parish for the 24 hours for the Lord prayer hours. It is a wonderful illustration of the joy of our pupils, and their deep understanding of prayer, and their role as Christians within our community.
