This week's letter from Mrs Mayers...

Dear Parents and Carers

Next week, marks the beginning of SATs week for our Year 6 pupils, who have worked incredibly hard to prepare for this moment. We are immensely proud of our Year 6 children. Since they joined us in Reception, they have grown so much and developed into young people we can be truly proud of. While we wish them the very best of luck, it is important to remember that each one of them has unique gifts and talents, meaning SATs are not a measure of them as people. We hope they remember their absolute brilliance, regardless of the test results, as they head into the week ahead.

Later in the week, we are looking forward to our Spring Disco, which is always a highlight of the term for our students. Please support SWOYSA, our wonderful Parent Association, by attending this event and helping us raise funds for the school. We are currently looking for parents who would like to be involved in our PTA, and we encourage anyone interested in getting involved to speak to Mrs Mayers. Your support and time make a huge difference to the experiences we can offer our children.

We also have our Ascension Day Mass to look forward to next week. This special service will be led by our Year 5 class, who have been busy preparing their readings and reflections, to help us mark this important occasion. Please do join us in church for this mass if you can.

Wishing you a lovely weekend.

Warm regards

Hayley Mayers (Headteacher)

Our reception class have had a very special two weeks, watching tiny eggs hatch into fluffy chicks right before their eyes. The children have loved caring for them, learning about life cycles, and seeing how much they've grown each day. #SWOY #Stwilliamofyork #Catholicprimaryschool #Selondon #Lewisham #Foresthill #SE23 #education #chicks
