Our OPAL Journey

We are having lots of fun at playtime! Can you help us by donating unwanted items you may have at home?

Since starting our OPAL journey in October 2025, we have seen a wonderful transformation in how our children engage with their environment during break times. So far, we have successfully removed the MUGA, and we are excited to announce that this term the space will become our dedicated cycle and scooter track. We have also added a massive new sandpit for all of our children to enjoy, alongside a newly developed arts and crafts area and a construction and small world play zone. To encourage imaginary play, we have incorporated lots of fancy dress, which has been a huge hit with the pupils. Furthermore, we have created a large loose parts area, filled with items like tyres and fabric, which the children are absolutely loving. This week was a particular highlight as they worked together to build a huge obstacle course using all of the loose parts available. We are still looking for more donations to keep these activities growing, so please do look at our OPAL donations list here for ways you can contribute.
