Yr4 Trip to Horniman Museum

Yr4 had a fantastic time on their trip this week!

They had a brisk walk up to Forest Hill to visit the Horniman Museum to learn about the Ancient Egyptians. They took part in a session where they had the opportunity to hold real-life artefacts, which included: a headdress, a bowl and some masks. They had to wear special white gloves whilst handling the objects to avoid damaging them. They learned a lot during the session and have been very animated in sharing their learning. As they wandered through the museums, they saw a mummified cat and some carefully crafted Canopic jars. They are currently creating their own Canopic jars in school so this was great inspiration for them!
