Acsension Day Mass Led by Yr5

Celebrating the Feast of the Ascension
This Thursday, our school community gathered with the parish to celebrate Ascension Day, marking the forty days after Easter when Jesus ascended into heaven. It was a wonderful opportunity for students, staff, and parishioners to come together in prayer and reflection.
A special thank you goes to our Year 5 class, who took the lead in organising and leading the liturgy. The students showed incredible maturity and reverence throughout the service. During the Liturgy of the Word, our Year 5 readers spoke with such clarity and confidence, ensuring the message of the day reached everyone in the congregation. The singing was a true highlight as the children’s voices filled the church, bringing a joyful energy to the celebration that many parishioners later remarked upon.
The Ascension is a significant feast in the Church calendar, representing the moment Jesus entrusted his mission to his disciples, and to us. Seeing our students lead the parish in worship was a powerful reminder of how they are growing into that mission themselves. We are incredibly proud of Year 5 for their hard work in preparing for this Mass and thank all the parents and community members who joined us to make this holy day so special.
