Welcome Assembly & BBQ

At our annual Welcome Assembly, we officially came together as a school community to celebrate our newest arrivals, including our new Reception children and families, alongside pupils who have joined us across other year groups. The Year 6 children, who led the gathering, did a fantastic job guiding the event, while our Reception stars shone brightly throughout their very first school assembly. To symbolise their journey beginning at SWOY, each new child was presented with a special balloon.

We extend a huge thank you to the Reception and Year 6 teams for organising such a memorable occasion, and to Mrs. Shanahan, whose magical musical touch had everyone singing beautifully together.

The celebration continued outdoors with our annual Welcome BBQ, where, despite less than fortunate weather and gloomy clouds, we enjoyed a wonderful turnout. It was lovely to chat and get to know so many of the new families joining our school this year, and we thank everyone who braved the drizzle to make the event such a joyous success.
