Beach Trip Reception & Yr6

☀️ Seaside Fun at Joss Bay! 🏖

Reception and Year 6 buddy classes had a brilliant day out this week on their trip to Joss Bay in Broadstairs – and what a day it was!

Armed with buckets and spades, the children wasted no time getting stuck into building sandcastles, digging holes, and creating sandy masterpieces. There were smiles all around as they splashed in the beach puddles, paddled in the sea, and explored the shoreline together.

Everyone enjoyed a delicious picnic on the sand – and we’re pleased to report that we just about managed to survive the very interested (and very hungry!) seagulls circling above!

The buddy system between Reception and Year 6 shone through the whole day, with older pupils showing care, kindness and leadership while supporting their younger friends throughout the trip. It was wonderful to see these special friendships in action.

A huge thank you to Ms Webster, Miss Dempsey, Mr Morris, Mr Wilkie, Mrs Di and Mrs Mayers for organising and accompanying the trip, and for making sure the day was safe, fun and full of great memories.

We’re already dreaming of next year’s beach adventure!
