🌟 Best Sports Day Ever at Catford & Cyphers! 🏃‍♀️🏅

St William of York - 16th July 2025 – Under perfect blue skies, pupils from Reception to Year 6 enjoyed an unforgettable day of sporting fun at this year’s Sports Day, held at the Catford & Cyphers Cricket Ground.

The sunshine matched the smiles as children took part in a range of exciting races and challenges. Some firm favourites included the sponge and water race, the ladder obstacle course, the football tunnel race, and the crowd-pleasing grand finale relay. The day was packed with fun, energy, and brilliant team spirit.

A huge thank you to Mrs Meara for organising the entire event, and to Miss Richards and Mr O’Connor for setting up all the activities so brilliantly. Their hard work helped make the day run smoothly and full of joy for everyone involved.

The atmosphere was buzzing with excitement, and one child summed it up perfectly, saying: “That was the best Sports Day ever!”

Special thanks also go to all the staff, parents and families who got involved in the adult egg and spoon race—a highlight that had everyone laughing and cheering!

With such wonderful weather, great company, and happy memories made, this year’s Sports Day was truly a fantastic day. We hope it will be a special memory for our children for years to come.
