Bikeability and Cycle to School Day

 Year 5 & 6 Bikeability Success! 🚴

This week, our Year 5 and 6 pupils took part in their Bikeability training, successfully completing Level 1 and Level 2. The children began their training on the school playground, where they practised essential cycling skills such as balance, signalling, and control.

Once they had mastered the basics, the groups headed out onto local roads to put their new skills into action. Under the careful guidance of qualified instructors, the children learned how to navigate junctions, understand road signs, and ride safely and confidently in real traffic situations.

The instructors were incredibly impressed with the children’s positive attitudes, focus, and determination throughout the sessions. Our pupils showed great responsibility and maturity while developing their independence and awareness as road users.

A huge well done to everyone who took part — you should be very proud of your achievements!

I would also like to say well done to everyone who cycled to school earlier this week on our CYCLE TO SCHOOL DAY.

Next week, is Road Safety Awareness Week and we will have a special visit from the RIOT ACT to learn about the dangers of the road and how to stay safe whilst we are travelling around.
