Chicks in Reception

The chicks have hatched in Reception Class
There has been a lot of chirping and excitement coming from the Reception classrooms this week. We are thrilled to announce that our living egg project is well underway, and we have already welcomed five fluffy chicks into the school family. After spending their first moments in the incubator, these five early birds have now been moved into their brooding cage where they are settling in perfectly.
The excitement is not over yet, as we are still keeping a very close eye on the remaining eggs and expect a couple more hatchlings to arrive over the weekend. Our Reception children have been fantastic observers, and they are learning so much about life cycles while watching the chicks grow and develop. All classes across the school will have the opportunity to visit our new feathered friends, and children who would like to will even get the chance to handle them safely. Please keep an eye on the website for further updates and photos of our growing brood.
