Kent County Cricket

A term full of cricket for Yr2, 3, 5, & 6
We have been incredibly lucky to host professional coaches from Kent County Cricket Club, who have been delivering an action-packed six-week block of cricket lessons for our lucky pupils in Years 2, 3, 5, and 6.
From mastering the perfect "front foot drive" to learning the lightning-fast reflexes needed for wicket-keeping, our students have been busy developing their skills. But as any cricket fan knows, the game is about much more than just hitting a ball.
Under the expert guidance of our Kent Cricket coach, the children have been focusing on:
- Teamwork: Learning to communicate clearly between the wickets.
- Resilience: Perfecting that tricky bowling action through practice and persistence.
- The "Spirit of Cricket": Emphasising fair play, respect, and encouragement for their teammates.
The impact of having a professional coach on-site has been clear to see. The coach has been absolutely fantastic and has a wonderful way of keeping the energy high while ensuring every child, regardless of their experience level, feels confident to have a go. It’s been a real highlight to see the children shine in their cricket lessons this term.
