Yr3 Trip to Horniman Museum

Yr3 explore skeletons at the Horniman Museum

Our Year 3 children enjoyed an exciting trip to the Horniman Museum as part of their science topic, Animals Including Humans. The focus of their visit was a special workshop all about skeletons – and the children loved every minute!

During the workshop, they had the chance to see real skeletons and models up close, learning about how bones help us move, protect our organs, and give our bodies shape. The children made fantastic observations and asked some brilliant scientific questions!

The adventure didn’t stop there – Year 3 also walked all the way to the museum and back, getting plenty of fresh air and exercise along the way. It was a wonderful opportunity to explore our local area and notice things we often miss on the journey.

Everyone returned to school tired but full of enthusiasm, buzzing with new knowledge about how our bodies work. A huge thank you to the staff and parent helpers who made the day such a success!
