Yr4 Christingle Service

Yr4 led a beautiful Christingle Service to mark the first week of Advent
Today, Year 4 led a wonderful Christingle Service in school, helping us all reflect on the true meaning of Advent. The children shared their thoughtful prayers for others, reminding us to think carefully about those in our community and around the world who may need extra kindness and support at this time of year.
During the service, Year 4 taught us all about the meaning of the Christingle. They explained that the orange represents the world, the red ribbon symbolises the love and sacrifice of Jesus, the sweets or fruits remind us of God’s gifts and creation, and the candle stands for Jesus as the Light of the World, guiding us with hope.
The children encouraged us to remember the importance of looking after our world, caring for our friends and families, supporting those in need, and keeping Jesus in our thoughts throughout this special season.
Thank you, Year 4, for leading such a thoughtful and inspiring service.
